26" Double Eye Trailer Leaf Spring (4 Leaf) #DE-261000

4-leaf, double-eye trailer leaf spring. Measures 26" long x 1-3/4" wide with a 1000lb. capacity. Trailer Leaf Springs are designed to absorb road shock and provide for a much smoother trailering experience. They also reduce wear and tear on the trailer and help to level the trailer on uneven or bumpy road surfaces.

Leaf Springs mount to trailer with spring hangers or hanger kits.

Trailer Leaf springs generally do not require maintenace or service other than rinsing off when used in salt water. It is acceptable to apply lubricant to moving parts. Leaf Springs are the most important part of a trailers suspension system. Double eye leaf springs attache at the eyes by spring hangers, or in the case of tandem or triple axle suspensions, into spring hangers located in the front and rear and equalizer(s) in the center. When determining the type of spring hangers or hanger kit you need, you must know the type of leaf spring you have and the trailer axles diameter and capacity. Trailer Leaf Springs can be configured to work with single, tandem or triple-axle suspensions.

An inside diameter of 9/16" is the most common size for trailer leaf springs. Some older running trailers used 1/2" bushings and bolts.
NOTE: spring capacity is given per each spring. 3500lb. rated axles should be matched with two 1750lb. or higher capacity springs.
