HYDRAULIC TRAILER BRAKE ASSEMBLIES
Hydraulic trailer brake assemblies, backing plates, brake shoes & springs. 10", 12" and 12 1/4" sizes. Ready to bolt on to your trailer axle brake mounting flange. Hydraulic trailer brake systems use one or more pair of brake assemblies, brake drum / hub assemblies, hydraulic brake actuator and a brake line kit. An Electric over hydraulic brake actuator can also be used.
Foundation Brake assemblies (backing plate, brake shoes & springs) come in 10" & 12" sizes with the two most common being UNI-SERVO and FREE BACKING. 'Uni-Servo' brakes have 20% braking power in reverse, therefore they are recommended to be matched with a Hydraulic Brake Actuator that is designed with a Reverse Lock Out for backing up inclines or over soft ground. Free Backing brakes use a design that allows the trailer to roll free when backing up, they have no braking power in reverse.
