Titan/Dico Model 6 hydraulic brake actuators come in both disc and drum brake applications. Hydraulic Surge Brake Actuator systems work by the surging or pushing of the trailer forward toward the tow vehicle. As the trailer surges forward towards the tow vehicle, the actuator slides or telescopes together and applies force to the master cylinder, thus supplying hydraulic pressure to the trailer brakes.
